Comfortable accommodation, could be further improved with a fridge and a shower shelf. Bring your own milk and biscuits for room if vegan, dairy or gluten free needed. Plenty of street parking alongside if the car park is full. Smoke alarms fully functional as they should be, so if you smoke please have regard to signage and do so outside. Would stay again. Vegan sausages available nearby at Minchella
Rang direct and the owner was most helpful, I wanted a double but non of the online sites had one available. Gave me a nice double room, very clean and a wonderful view of the sea and the sunrise in the morning. One of the most comfortable beds I have found in a hotel or B&B (room 5). Very relaxed and accommodating staff made the stay perfect. Miles of coast on the doorstep, close to some really nice real ale bars (Harbour View one to visit Thursday night live music) and restaurants (ask the owner or his wife as they are locals and they will point you in the right direction) bus stops very close which will take you into city centre or down the coast, metro transport just up the road going to Newcastle. Will definitely use again.
Have always loved being at this hotel. It is first class, very clean, very friendly, so helpfully. Breakfasts are first class, he will do anything he can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. That's why we have been going to stay there for the past 12 years.
My wife and I had a two night stay on the great north run weekend as my wife was doing the run. Such welcoming staff,,very comfortable and homely room, very comfortable bed had a brilliant sleep.breakfast was fantastic in a lovely dining room,,we will definitely be coming back, thanks for a lovely stay.
Amazing hosts. I love the breakfast. Rooms are nice. Beds are quite soft for me, but I guess it depends on your personal preferences. I have stayed several times and I'll continue staying.
Superb! Clean. Friendly. Lovely breakfast. Perfectly situated and allowed our doggie's to stay too which was awesome. Lots to do close by. Easy parking. Warm. The beds were super comfy although the pillows were a bit hard for me but that's preference. We would definitely go again. We cant speak highly enough if the staff
Great location, just set back from the seafront. Matt was brilliant at providing a hairdryer and much needed fan within half an hour of calling him. Spotlessly clean, lovely bed linen. Taylor's teabags and Borders biscuits were much appreciated .
Excellent place to stay. Matt and his partner couldn't do enough to help you. Very welcoming. And accommodating. Fantastic customer service. Even went out and bought an iron and ironing board for me, shower room a bit small but these things happen. Would definitely go back.
